One of the things most talked about in change is consistency.

While I would agree consistency is useful and when it comes about because we are coerce ourselves it actually becomes unhelpful.

When we force ourselves to do something the output comes at a cost to us and may over time even prevent the goal we seek.

Most people understand this to varying extents and it has led to much talk about mindset work to prevent coercion.  The thing is mind set work is a cognitive process and does not bring along the rest of the body.

This has then often led to an inclusion of energy work in order to be in alignment rather than coercion.

Despite the inclusion of energy work in facilitating the change and taking action many coaches find that the same issues and patterns occur despite their clients constantly repeating the tools taught.  This can lead to coaches feeling the clients aren't doing the work or clients that their coach is not the one to help them.

Many clients will resort then to old ways of coercing themselves , which for many of us is so familiar, we don't even recognise we are doing it.

There is a natural cycle I talk about in my Embodied Wisdom Training - from theory to practice, that teaches how one can take action in connection with all the parts of ourselves, and it also highlights where the tricky points may be and how specifically to help our clients.
